His recruitment comes at a time when the prime job of the new President is to defend the credibility of the world’s largest rating agency that has been brutally criticised for having let the subprime party go on for long and allocating top ratings to underperforming securities. Known to be excellent at strategic thinking and having deep understanding of global financial markets, Deven is expected to succeed at protecting the company’s image.
